We’re so excited about the sailing yacht Aiaxaia! She’s one of the most luxurious yachts flying the Croatian flag. She has an impeccable pedigree: Aiaxaia was built by the Ercegović family, who have been mariners since the 19th century and who are well-known in the sailing world because of their luxury yacht, Navilux, another star yacht on the Adriatic. At 46 meters long, Aiaxaia is a larger version of Navilux and she offers the same degree of sumptuousness.
Sailing yacht Aiaxaia sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 en-suite cabins, all of which include safe boxes, plasma TVs, interphones, and surround sound:
- Master cabin with a king bed
- VIP cabin with a king bed
- Two double cabins with queen beds
- Two cabins with twin beds that can be converted into queen beds
Special features on this gorgeous yacht include a sauna, Jacuzzi, sunbathing area, numerous lounge areas, Wifi and wired internet, an office area, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, kayaks, wave runners, dinghies, equipment for fishing, snorkelling and water skiing, and even bicycles!
WEEKLY CHARTER RATE 2023:
High season (July & August): €107,000 + VAT (currently 13%) + APA 30%
Low season: €97,000 + VAT (currently 13%) + APA 30%
Summer Operating Areas 2023: Corsica, Croatia, French Riviera & Monaco, Italy - North (mainland), Italy - Sardinia, Italy - Sicily, Italy - South (mainland), Montenegro, Slovenia, Venice
Crew Gratuity: Although discretionary, a crew gratuity of 10-15% of the charter fee is customary.
CYBA/MYBA terms will apply.
APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance): APA is an estimate (usually 30% of the charter rate) paid with the balance for covering running costs during the charter (food, drinks, fuel, mooring fees, and anything else that guests might need while on charter). Final accounts will be produced by the Captain at the end of the charter and any unused funds will be refunded in full to the Charterer directly. If the funds are not sufficient, the Captain will advise the Charterer accordingly and bills will be settled upon disembarkation.
Payment conditions: 50% of the charter rate within 7 days of signing the charter agreement, remaining 50% plus APA, at least 5 weeks before the beginning of the charter.
Captain: Toni Vuković
Toni has been working at sea for almost 11 years. From an early age he worked on small cruise vessels (130ft) in the Adriatic Sea and following his graduation from Maritime School, furthered his career on commercial vessels where he climbed to the rank of Officer.
After 6 years sailing worldwide and developing a variety of skills and experiences, Toni returned to the Adriatic Sea as a Captain on cruise vessels.
He joined AIAXAIA as First Officer in 2019 and took command for the first time in the late summer of 2020 completing a successful charter season in the Adriatic. Toni’s varied roles have given him the experience needed to manage any aspect of working in the yachting industry.
He is fluent in English and as a true ocean lover, spends most of his time at sea either working or enjoying his hobbies of diving, swimming, and fishing.
First Officer: Drago Klaric
Growing up around boats in Dalmatia, Drago was interested from an early age in everything the sea had to offer. After a successful career on cruise vessels he joined AIAXAIA in 2021. His vast experience in electrical and mechanical engineering and other professional qualities makes him an outstanding addition to AIAXAIA's crew, Drago is truly a hands-on person who takes every task seriously and completes it in the best way, striving to make your stay on yacht both safe and pleasant as possible.
Engineer/Deckhand: Marin Ivanisevic
Marin has been on and around the sea since his childhood. A passion for engineering is part of his life for as long as he can remember. After several years of experience on mini cruisers operating in Croatian waters, Marin gained a reputation of the man you want in the engine room of your yacht. Marin brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of this astonishing yacht, while at the same time makes a great addition to AIAXAIA’s crew, being easy-going, service-oriented team member and a diligent team player with no issues to give a hand wherever needed on board.
Deckhand: Toni Klarić
Growing up surrounded by charter yachts and working on different mini cruisers during the summer months sparked Toni’s passion for sailing.
After graduating from high school with a Diploma in tourism and gaining experience as a professional waiter, Toni realised that becoming a seaman was the life path he wanted to pursue.
To further his experience, he embarked on an international career in The Netherlands where he worked in varied positions in the shipyard and shipbuilding industry for 5 years.
On his return to Croatia, Toni took a position onboard a 38m luxury sailing yacht in 2016 before joining AIAXAIA where he remains today. Fluent in English, this cheerful and hardworking sailor is a valued member of the AIAXAIA crew.
Chef: Karlo Kaleb
Karlo grew up with an intuitive love of food. His mother and grandmother recognized that his interest in cooking was much more than just a child’s curiosity, so they guided and supported him in taking his first steps into the culinary world.
Over the years he continued cooking, learning and exploring and completed his culinary training in 2012 gaining his Professional Chef’s Certificate. Karlo’s talent, passion, and enthusiasm was recognised from a very early stage in his career, and was given the opportunity to work in an impressive list of restaurants under the mentorship of some of the most prominent names in the Croatian cooking scene.
In 2016, with only 4 years of being in the culinary world, Karlo won a gold medal at Split Gourmet Expo, and in May 2018, after just joining AIAXAIA, he won 3rd prize at the culinary competition at the MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona. In December 2019 he was given the rare opportunity to spend a few days cooking and learning in the kitchen at Eleven Madison Park, one of the world's best restaurants.
Karlo’s personal focus as a chef are Mediterranean culinary concepts into which he brings a strong passion for innovation in a contemporary and refined way. The freshest and most seasonal ingredients are the key elements of Karlo’s creations, and his pleasure is to liven up each dish with his personal flair. Determined and in-touch with clients’ needs, Karlo is looking forward to providing AIAXAIA’s guests the ultimate gourmet experience.
Sous - Chef: Marko Rodin
Marko made his way up in the culinary world amazingly fast, but he was not afraid to start from the very beginning. Since 2008 he has been working in different positions (crew trainer, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Chef) in various restaurants in Croatia and Belgium. His passion and everlasting curiosity in exploring new dishes gained him a chance to start working for Chef Karlo on-board SY AIAXAIA. Here, he is encouraged to use his full potential and help Chef Karlo to bring a unique culinary experience for the guests. Marko is a proactive and always-ready-to-help team member who brings a positive energy in everything he does.
Steward: Miroslav Tomas
Miro is passionate about food and wine so obtaining his Sommeliers Certificate was just a mere formality for him. He possesses a remarkable knowledge of wines from all over the world, trends in winemaking and, is an expert at wine and food pairing.
Miro’s passion for wine combined with his Butler training, make him your onboard wine and service connoisseur.
His knowledge and attitude have not gone unnoticed in the hospitality industry and he is often receiving offers to work in top restaurants in Split and on reputable charter yachts.
In addition to his Sommelier Level 2 and Masterclass Butler Certificates, Miro holds both his Boat Leader License Category B and Scuba Diving Licence. His other interests are music, literature, travel, cooking and sports.
With a diploma of Maritime Studies at the reach of her hand, Emilly has already gathered years of experience in service and hospitality. She is fluent in English and speaks Italian as well. With her outgoing and friendly character, she effortlessly creates good vibes among the crew and builds an excellent team spirit, while providing immaculate client service. Not only does Emilly know how to make people feel comfortable by caring for their every need, she is also a wine enthusiast with a sommelier certificate who has a wealth of knowledge about what the Adriatic has to offer.
Stewardess: Ksenija Kvaranta
This soon to be Croatist and South Asia Cultures Graduate decided to enter the world of yachting a few years ago as she finds it promotes and rewards the skills and competencies she has. As her main interests are cultures, languages and communication, the service and hospitality industry is the right one to implement her education and improve her language skills. She speaks English, Russian and Slovenian, and learns Korean. Determined to work hard to make guests of SY AIAXAIA feel comfortable while at the same time doing her best to anticipate guests’ needs – this is what Ksenija has set as her own mission.
As a diligent and experienced professional, Monica has always proved herself to be a valuable colleague. She worked for several seasons in different positions in the service and hospitality industry, always upgrading the service, team spirit and overall experience of the clients. Monica joined SY AIAXAIA in 2021 in order to provide the best housekeeping service. Monica is an organised, attentive, and well-focused person, in control of the situation in her working domain. Although you might not see Monica that much, the results of her work will thrill you. She is also a professional masseuse.
