People are longing to go on holidays but are wondering about the safety of the destinations, with respect to COVID-19. Here are my thoughts on sailing in Croatia.
Croatia was our first destination and has remained our strongest for yacht charters. I have been fortunate enough to sail this area extensively and I know the coast and islands intimately. As a result, we have fantastic local networks and our combined knowledge, enthusiasm and devotion to detail ensure that we create truly bespoke and original yachting experiences for clients every time.
This also means that we get all our local information first hand. What they see, how they feel and what the general response is. It has been of the essence to have this in-depth knowledge during the COVID-19 time. Although no one knows for certain what is ahead of us, we all want to get on with things and to try and live the life we want and know. Traveling is a huge part of that for many people, essential for their wellbeing, their lifestyle and, often, their work.
It was heart-warming seeing how many people were waiting, at the ready, for the borders to reopen so they could set sail once again and enjoy the freedom of the seas.
Among our yacht charter partners, everyone has been working together to make each other feel safe and looked after. People are mindful of each other and appreciative of the potential sensitivities of the current situation. At these delicate times, that is essential. The yachts are put through extra cleaning procedures and the crews are well prepared for looking after both the yachts and clients. On land activities are planned ahead. Local networks are busier than ever.
And everyone is so joyful and happy to see each other again, grateful for human interaction, eager to be helpful and to make the charters more special than ever before!
There is a lot that we want to share with our clients and it is difficult to pick our favourite yachts, as so many of them are just wonderful. But here is a shortlist from our book of excellence. All come with superb crews, all are meticulously maintained and all would be a great choice for chartering in Croatia.
