Discover Croatia Aboard Corsario: Croatia Yacht Charter Itinerary

We recently had the privilege of welcoming a select group of charter brokers aboard our award-winning motor sailer Corsario, for a FAM trip designed to show them the very best this yacht and Croatia have to offer.

This trip showcased why Corsario represents the very highest caliber of Croatian yacht charters. With luxurious amenities and an expert crew, a charter aboard Corsario is ideal for anyone who wants to experience the real soul of Dalmatia, and go off the beaten track to uncover the hidden charms of the Croatian coast.

Day 1: Brač Island and Award-Winning Fine Dining

Exploring Brač Island

After a warm welcome aboard Corsario in Split, we set sail to the island of Brač. Our first stop was one of the island’s hidden gems, Kupinova Luka Bay, the perfect spot to enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, or try out underwater diving with a sea bob!

Lunch from an Award-Winning Private Chef

We returned aboard for a spectacular lunch cooked by Corsario’s private chef, Luka, who was recently placed second in the 2024 CROYA Yacht Charter Show Chef’s Competition. Lunch showcased Chef Luka’s exceptional skill for preparing the very best of Croatian cuisine and expertly pairing dishes with top local wines.

Evening Stroll on Vis Island and Dazzling Cocktails

Later in the afternoon, we sailed to Komiza, on the island of Vis.

As the evening rolled in, we enjoyed a relaxed moonlight stroll through the winding streets of Komiža, a charming seaside town on Vis Island. We returned to Corsario for a truly exceptional four-course dinner. Chef Luka outdid himself, creating an innovative set of dishes with two types of local fish. Dinner was followed by Corsario’s Signature Cocktails crafted by Dario,  Corsario’s “barman extraordinaire”, drawing a spectacular evening to a close as we anchored near Borovac for the night.

Day 2: Morning Exploration and Evening Relaxation: From Hvar Town to the Sauna

Hike to Hvar Fortress

On our second morning, we stopped off in Hvar town and took in the scenic views as we hiked up to the famous 16th Century fortress. Hvar is also well known for beautiful arts and crafts and we visited some of the jewelry shops and galleries. We picked the finest Hvar lavender and honey too.

Relaxing in Corsario’s Sauna and Jacuzzi

After an action-packed morning, we took the rest of the afternoon to relax as we sailed to Gracisce Bay – taking a dip in the ocean, detoxifying in the onboard sauna, and lying back in the jacuzzi as we soaked up the Mediterranean sunshine.

Themed Evening Under the Stars

As we anchored in Tiha Bay for the evening, we dressed up and descended into the dining area for a themed “casino night” organised by the crew. Frank Sinatra crooned in the background as we luxuriated in a sumptuous three-course meal of veal cheeks, beefsteak, and a final course of apple pie served with homemade vanilla ice cream.

Day 3: Stari Grad Stroll and a Dinner with Clifftop Views

Exploring a UNESCO World Heritage site: Stari Grad

We began our morning with yoga on the flybridge as we sailed to our next destination: Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. We spent the rest of the morning soaking in the incredible history of this town, whose ancient Greek vineyards and olive groves were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. Beautiful summer house of the Croatian poet Petar Hektorovic (16th century) was visited too.

BBQ at a Private Clifftop House

In the afternoon, we sailed to the secluded bay of Sinjava. Corsario’s Captain Jure showcased his years of expertise, anchoring the yacht amid the rocks in order for us to enjoy dinner at a private clifftop house. The clifftops formed the perfect setting for a relaxed evening BBQ filled with good cheer, and a lot of Argentinian wine – thanks to Dario, whose attentiveness ensured our glasses were never empty. There were many highlights of that evening: the most beautiful view from the terrace, of the yacht and the bay; Luka’s delicious BBQ fish, meat and vegetables; the dessert, a homemade cheesecake by the sous chef Ivana, touted by many of the guests as one of the best they had ever tasted.

Day 4: Water Sports and Cozy Local Taverns

Wakeboards and Waterskies

In the morning, we explored the exquisite little town of Jelsa with its charming stone houses and a piazza, with unusually sized pine trees, curious art scattered around and capers hanging like lianas, decorating the old walls. Beautiful and serene town.

Later we set off towards the Uzavrace Bay on Brač Island to take full advantage of Corsario’s extensive water sports equipment. The calm waters of the bay were ideal for an exhilarating day full of wakeboarding, water skiing, and plunging off the aft deck into the Adriatic Sea.

Local Flavours at the Tavern

For our final night, we docked in Milna to immerse ourselves in Croatian culture at Konoba Ziza, a small local tavern. The cozy tavern created the perfect ambience for an evening of laughter and storytelling over wonderful Croatian dishes and wines. We enjoyed our final evening, dining with the crew and hearing their stories.

Day 5: Final Morning: A Thank you to the Corsario Crew

An itinerary of this caliber is only possible with a five-star crew

As we disembarked in Split, we reflected on what had been a truly exceptional charter aboard Corsario thanks to the knowledge, experience, and attentiveness of its crew.

The Corsario Crew: 5-star service with genuine warmth and caring

It is the small details that distinguish an excellent charter from an extraordinary one. For the brokers on our FAM trip, it was clear that it was Corsario’s crew that made this charter extraordinary.

Captain Jure

Expert sailor with a deep knowledge of the Adriatic whose skill in navigation inspired confidence and allowed us access to the most secluded and private spots.

Chef Luka and Sous Chef Ivana

True culinary excellence. This award-winning team guarantees guests the very best food in Croatia on land and sea. (Chef Luka won the 2nd place at the CROYA Yacht Charter Show in Split, October 2024.)

Dario, Magdalena, and Nensi

Dario’s storytelling, Magdalena’s radiant smile, and Nensi’s exceptional attentiveness form a crew that feel like family. This crew anticipates your needs before you express them- bringing us blankets when the wind kicked up, having swimming towels at the ready, and firing up the jacuzzi without a word.
