Virgin Islands Catamarans – 2025 Show Highlights

The winter yacht charter season in the Virgin Islands is now underway, and November once again brought two excellent industry events: the Charter Yacht Show in Tortola (BVI) and VIPCA’s Charter Yacht Show in St Thomas (USVI). Both shows continue to play an important role in understanding the fleet, meeting crews, and gaining a clear sense of the upcoming season.
These gatherings bring together crewed catamarans from across the region, from newly launched yachts to seasoned favourites – along with captains, chefs, stewardesses, managers, and brokers. For us, it’s an opportunity to spend time on board, talk through upcoming charter itineraries, review refits or upgrades, and see how each yacht crew is shaping their season.

A Strong Start to the Yacht Charter Season

Catamaran Endless Horizon

This year, shows featured a great number of well prepared yachts, many of them with familiar crews returning for another Caribbean season. Several new catamarans also made their debut, giving a good indication of where the market is heading in terms of layout, design, and sustainability features.
As always, the calibre of crews stood out. Some teams were coming off Mediterranean seasons, bringing fresh energy and well honed routines into the Virgin Islands. Other teams are already well established and well known to the industry, with many years of chartering in the Caribbean.
The chef competitions (held at both shows) highlighted a high standard of cuisine this year, with several memorable menus and a clear focus on balanced, contemporary dishes.

Looking Ahead

Saba Rock

With many yachts already booked for peak dates, the season is shaping up to be a busy one. The BVI and USVI remain exceptionally well suited to crewed catamaran charters during the winter months, and the fleet this year reflects a mix of reliable favourites and great new arrivals, supported by skilled and enthusiastic crews.

As always, we’re looking forward to following these yachts throughout the season and sharing more updates as they continue their journeys across the islands.
