WONDERLAND is an impeccably presented barge, designed to the highest standards and based in Paris. This barge has managed to do something rather unusual; strike a good balance between high standards of luxury and a feeling of homeliness. Ideal for a family holiday, a couple or a small group of friends, WONDERLAND offers guests a chance to explore France through its canals and rivers in style and at their own pace with the help of three marvellous crew.
WONDERLAND has three cabins available for up to 5 guests:
- Spacious Master Cabin with King size bed and large en suite that has a bath as well as a shower.
- Twin cabin with two standard sized single beds.
- Studio cabin that acts as an office with a single bed that can be converted to a double on request.
Each cabin has its own private en suite bathroom with a shower, lavatory and sink. The living area has a large space for sitting and separate room for dining. Outside is ample and well furnished. You can spend time admiring the view from the extensive deck seating or the deck Jacuzzi.
Wonderland will be based in Paris from 9 June 2024 until 31 August 2024.
The guests will be able to choose between chartering in Champagne and Normandy regions as well as spending some days in Paris. Those will always be one-way routes.
(IMPORTANT NOTE: During the Olympics and Paralympics (26 July – 11 August and from 28 August – 8 September) Paris will impose restrictions on transfers. Wonderland will charter in the Champagne region or in the Normandy region between the dates 26 July and 11 August. The barge can always bring the guests back to Paris or start from there.)
We recommend spending a week in either of the areas: Champagne or Normandy and adding few days in Paris before or after the charter. Alternatively, a combination of few days in Paris and few days in the country is also possible. Each itinerary will be planned individually and will be organised as a one-way route.

While aboard, the crew of three will look after you. They have worked together for years, and have hosted charters around the globe on many different types of yacht. Captain Paul is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced but also great to spend time with. Similarly, hostess Lexy is the epitome of kindness and generosity. Paul and Lexy, partners in life, make a great team and have worked together for many years. They are able to strike a balance between being attentive, and stepping back to allow guests some privacy. Stewardess Tani will be joining them for the summer season in France.
Wonderland is powered by two electric motors resulting in very little fuel being required.

Optional Extras:
If the guests wish to have any special food or other/premium drinks on board, those can be organised. An amount of the Advance Provisioning Allowance will be charged with the final balance for purchasing them and to cover any additional expenses.
Crew Gratuity: Although discretionary, a crew gratuity of 10-15% of the charter fee is customary.

- As far as Saint-Denis on the north-west side of Paris
- As far as Parc Du Tremblay on the south-east side of Paris
(both are approx 30 mins car ride to the city centre, traffic dependant)

Alternatively, a combination of few days in Paris and few days in the country is also possible when chartering outside the Olympic and Paralympic dates. Each itinerary will be planned individually and will be organised as a one-way route.
Please note, Wonderland is NOT available for charters to the citizens of countries in the European Union while in the European Union waters due to the charter licensing agreement."
Payment conditions: 50% of the charter rate within 7 days of signing the charter agreement, remaining 50% at least 5 weeks before the beginning of the charter.

CAPTAIN: Paul Bowring
Captain Paul was born in the UK but was raised all over the globe. From living in South Korea to the Devon countryside, his fascination with travel and other cultures began quite early on. When his family settled in Brixham, Paul and his father bonded through sailing. Soon that hobby became a passion and that passion became a career. In 2015, Paul broke free of his life in England as a hotel manager and sailed across the Atlantic. With a group of three others, he sailed from the Canary Islands and landed in the Southern Caribbean where his sailing career took off and eventually led him back to Europe aboard Wonderland.
CHEF: Lexy
Lexy was born and raised in Brooklyn, but as an island girl atheart, the sea has always felt like home. While living in New York City, Lexy had a career in event planning and marketing which she continued when she relocated to St. Vincent & the Grenadines (her father’s home country) working for the Bequia Beach Hotel. After a year behind the desk and the sea right outside her office door, Lexy quit her 9-5 to pursue a career as a yoga instructor teaching group classes and leading yoga retreats in the Caribbean and beyond.Alongside her yoga teaching career Lexy acts as first mate, stew, and/or chef alongside Captain Paul.
STEWARDESS/DECKHAND: Tani
With over 13 years of hospitality experience, Tani will ensure you have the most fabulous time aboard Wonderland as your deckhand and stewardess. Born in the UK, Tani has worked and travelled the world spending time in Australia, Croatia and Palma running cafes, restaurants and bars. Whether you're a cocktail or coffee aficionado, Tani has you covered!
