Travel Is Powerful!
Travel is powerful. It opens minds and changes lives. We don’t travel to escape but to find, engage, connect … to take delight in the local, bespoke, diverse.
Sailing, more than anything, is a perfect example of it. There is something about watching the sea and the way it keeps changing with the light. It’s very calming … it’s the memory of feeling free and content.
Discover the world in the privacy of your own floating home, with everchanging scene around you. Visit the places, meet the people, taste amazing dishes, wake up in the morning and dive into the most beautiful seas, enjoy 360 degrees views, watch the sunsets from your deck with your favourite people around you. You’ll want to go back, over and over again … There is nothing like a magical sailing holiday.

WHY IS CHARTERING A CREWED MOTOR YACHT IN CROATIA A GREAT IDEA?
There we were, lying on the deck, the wind in our hair, the hot sun on our back, speeding across the deep blue water studded with emerald islands. It does not get much better.
We were cruising down the Croatian Adriatic on board the foot luxury Sunseeker Manhattan 84. There is something extraordinarily liberating about a holiday spent cruising on the sea. You can wake up every morning in a different place and just take off again – as free as a bird, but travelling in great style and fabulous luxury. I thought I might find the boat confining, but I needn’t have worried. This is like a floating villa…
Yacht Charters in Croatia with High Point Yachting
Nothing quite equals sailing for travelling in style, and nowhere quite matches Croatia as a place to get away from it all on a yacht.
The country’s heavenly coastline is known for its blue waters, green islands and historic towns. The best way to see the area is aboard a spacious and elegant yacht.
With dozens of harbours—and hundreds of islands—to choose from your best option is to put yourself in the hands of a capable broker at High Point Yachting. Tell them what is important for your enjoyment of a holiday. They will tailor itineraries to your specifications, with no detail too small for their attention…
CREWED CATAMARAN CHARTERS IN THE CARIBBEAN
Anyone who has chartered in the Caribbean dreams of coming back. It’s easy to understand why. This part of the world, with its calm pace of life and warm and sunny climate, is the perfect place to relax and an ideal sailing ground. There is a lot to enjoy: sandy, palm-fringed beaches and beautiful coves, colourful marine life and a perfectly clear sea. For many this is a picture of paradise.
We have got to know the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands particularly well over the last few years, while visiting the territory and the yachts based there. In those areas, crewed catamaran charters are the way to go…
CROATIA FEELS SAFE IN THIS UNUSUAL TIME
People are longing to go on holidays but are wondering about the safety of the destinations, with respect to COVID-19. Here are my thoughts on sailing in Croatia.
Croatia was our first destination and has remained our strongest for yacht charters. I have been fortunate enough to sail this area extensively and I know the coast and islands intimately. As a result, we have fantastic local networks and our combined knowledge, enthusiasm and devotion to detail ensure that we create truly bespoke and original yachting experiences for clients every time…
FLYING PRIVATELY TO YACHT CHARTER DESTINATIONS: AN ATTRACTIVE AND REALISTIC OPTION
As Lockdown eases European holiday destinations are opening up again and, increasingly, quarantine restrictions are no longer being imposed. However, even though the destinations are returning to normal and to “business as usual”, there are still, for some people, difficulties in travelling to them. To some places, flights are limited. And some people are understandably reluctant to take long journeys by bus, train and plane to get to where they want to go.
We have noticed an increasing interest taking private flights and a pick up in their business, taking travellers to holiday destinations. This is allowing many people to take up their booked holidays, while commercial carriers are still grounded/ not operating…
THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE UNDER THE SAME SKY
Call it a Gold List, the list of Brilliance, most valuable Address Book, Favourite Places … We all have our own list, created from our own experiences and including all the magical places that we have visited, places that made us happy, places that hold our most wonderful memories—new and the old places. We want to celebrate them all and want to support all these amazing people who have made those experiences possible for us. Just creating the list made me feel incredibly lucky to be able to have all this in my life. The best part is that there is still a lot to be added to it!
IS THIS QUIET SUMMER A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING GLORIOUSLY DIFFERENT?
This summer Mediterranean destinations will be quieter than many have ever experienced. Normally only war has this kind of effect. And yet, those destinations are open, the restaurants are proudly presenting their delicious specialities, yachts are available, ready with their wonderful crews to welcome guests lucky enough to be able to experience those magnificent coasts in complete solitude. For many it will be as they are experiencing a surprise private viewing of something rare and wonderful.
For people who enjoy quieter, more secluded holidays, this year offers the opportunities to enjoy a more leisurely peak season. Places and people that are normally frantic during that part of the year, will be more relaxed and operating at a slower pace…
THE GLORY OF CROATIA, SAILING, FOOD AND WINE
We spent the last days of August in Croatia, my home country, on a wonderful gulet, Carpe Diem 7. ‘Carpe Diem’ means ‘seize the day’ … Make the most of the present moment. We did just that!
There was so much to enjoy while sailing. It was particularly blissful at this time, when day-to-day our lives are limited by various constraints and the world is full of worry. But happiness is our default mode, I believe, and it was easy to get back to it while sailing on Carpe Diem 7. The crew was delightful, the sea was unusually clear and a kind of blue I’ve never seen, the anchorages were quiet, surrounded by woods and the nights were still warm under star-studded skies. We swam during the day, enjoyed water skiing and paddle-boarding, ate wonderful local specialities prepared by Marino, the chef and had the most delicious local wine. I was filled with a permanent sense of gratefulness for so much pleasure and joy packed in each day…
