    * You are making an enquiry about Cataja

CATAJA is a 46ft Fountaine Pajot based in Bequia, in the Grenadines. When we visited Bequia last December, we were completely mesmerised by the serenity of this lovely island. It was the beauty of the place, its genuine and friendly locals, the surrounding area that was so incredibly beautiful. Life in Bequia runs with the clock set to a time when life was slower, sweeter, and a lot less complicated. It has to be experienced…

CATAJA can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 double en-suite cabins. There is a large, shaded cockpit area with a dinner table. The salon is comfortable and there is plenty of space on the fore-deck area.

Skipper Paul and Chef Alexa have lived locally for years and know the area extremely well. They are eager to show you the best of the Grenadines!

Hi all, I wanted to write a RAVE review for the experience I just had sailing the Grenadines with Paul of Cataja catamaran. It is a short 45 min flight from Barbados to Bequia or St Vincent (you can either do charter or commercial flight).
I sailed with my husband and kids on a catamaran from Bequia to Union Island and back stopping at Mustique to ride horses IN THE SEA, in Canouan to golf in one of the best golf courses in the world with hands down the most spectacular views of any golf course, in Union Island to do kite surfing with incredible trainers for beginners and sports fishing and then dived in the Tobago Cays.

And the best part was that we the absolute best and nicest Captain you could ever imagine that made our trip such a delight! If you are either itching for a jaunt off the island or you are here on a welcome stamp and want to do island hopping in the worlds untouched and unspoilt islands while you are here, this is totally for you. I am not getting paid for this... I am just a super happy customer that wants to promote our Captain for the incredible time we had.

PS - we are parents of young children 3 and 6 years old and they had the best time! Happy sailing everyone!!

I just wanted to pass on how much we enjoyed our sail down through the Grenadines.

Our captain, made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip, and guided us on how to maximize our experience both in the Tobago Cays and our return stops.

Please do pass along our commendation on the job. He was both an excellent skipper and knowledgeable and friendly sailing companion.

My 60th birthday was certainly an excellent one which I’m sure will be one of the more memorable ones I’ve had! Thanks again for a great trip and we’ll be back!

    Katie.

We spent 2 weeks on SY Cataja with friends and were impressed by every aspect of it. The boat itself is lovely and spacious with enough room to feel that you have privacy. Lots of room to enjoy meals, the lobster was great! Thank you all!

Captain Nico is a fantastic Captain and now I would say a good friend. We had high hopes for the Grenadines and it exceeded our expectations. From the snorkelling in Tobago Cays to the sunset BBQ’s expertly cooked. By far our best charter yet.

Alexa and Paul met while working together in the Caribbean. Both had moved away from their respective cities of New York and London.

Born in England, Paul sailed from when he was a little boy. Growing up he raced dinghy's and yachts and continued to sit his professional qualifications with the idea that he would make a profession from it.

Alexa is a qualified Padi dive instructor, yoga teacher and a freelance marketer.

They now both live with their dog Dylan on a little island called Bequia situated within a cluster of beautiful islands called the Grenadines in the Southern Caribbean. During this time with their boat Cataja they have been able to explore many places from exquisite resorts to remote beaches of paradise. Whether you wish to go on an adventure up volcanoes, bath in waterfalls or just go and have a rum and meet some of their friends they will be sure to show you a good time.
