We are heading back to Croatia for the 2020 HPYF regatta!
The event will start and end in Biograd (first time for HPYF!) and we’ll be sailing in the area of the Kornati archipelago. Kornati are one of the largest National Parks in Croatia. It is an extraordinary place, best described by the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw:
’On the last day of creation, God desired to crown his work, and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath’.
The area is also one of the most popular sailing grounds, particularly for regattas. It offers good opportunities for setting the race courses and many overnight stops.
We will start working on creating the initial course shortly, and more information will come out in the first Logbook edition soon.
HPYF dates: 19 – 26 September 2020
The plan is to use all ELAN boats, two sizes, 45ft and 50ft. This fleet is quite limited, which means that we have to commit now in order to have it all for us. Below is the link to HPYF 2020 boat list, with prices and links to the boats.
