Balearic islands Yacht Charter

Just off the coast of Spain, you can discover the highly desirable Balearic Islands’ archipelago, which includes the four islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. Sailing in the Balearic’s gives you a holiday full of glorious weather (300 days of sunshine a year), charming ports, long beaches, dramatic scenery, fantastic night life and a vast array of other enjoyable activities. Between them these islands really offer everything anyone could dream of.

The largest of the islands, Mallorca, is filled with diverse opportunities for exploration. A busy cosmopolitan town, towering mountain ranges, open air restaurants, beach bars and a rugged coastline, are all available. Walk through the hustle and bustle of the islands capital Palma de Mallorca or wander through the quieter, narrow streets of the traditional fisherman town of Andratx. On your own crewed yacht charter, sail the coastline to find the beaches and coves to explore. The dramatic geography of the island not only offers magnificent views for your eyes to feast on, but also some great activities for thrill seekers. Why not try your hand at bouldering or cliff jumping to see the island of Mallorca from a different angle. On the southern coastline of Mallorca is the Mondragó Natural Park, an area bursting with lush green forests, wetlands and an inspiring underwater world ideal for snorkelling. If you are lucky, swim with wild dolphins often found enjoying the waters of Sant Elm beaches.

Menorca, known as the most untouched island of the Balearic islands, has a peaceful atmosphere. Stone walls curve around the countryside protecting the natural parks and the sounds of the abundance of nature here can be heard everywhere. This island is a pure retreat with minimal tourism. One of the best ways to see the island is on horseback, around the Cami de Cavalls (Path of Horses) which circles the island. Menorca has a great wild coastline, perfect for exploring by yacht. Quietly understated, Menorca actually has more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza combined. Set sail and spend the day discovering them while enjoying playing with your boat’s water toy selection. This often over-shadowed island deserves to be visited and enjoyed.

The world-renowned clubbing island of Ibiza not only offers clubs frequented by celebrities and the world’s best DJs, but it also has a quieter, more serene side. Known as the white isle, whitewashed houses dot the countryside towns. Get lost in the towering old city of Dalt Vila and come across characterful cafes and little boutiques. Anyone visiting this island has to try the fantastic food on offer everywhere. Ibiza also boasts a fantastic natural environment. Climb to the high view point of Es Vedra near Cala d’Hort and watch the sunset over this dreamy island. This rock formation truly makes you feel on top of the world.

Found close to Ibiza is the island of Formentera. The smallest island of the Balearics, Formentera, 20km in length, is the epitome of a relaxed environment. This slow-moving island is a far cry from its louder neighbours. Let its sleepy, care-free charm wash over you as soon as you step foot on shore. Discover the beaches which go as far as the eye can see, find the glistening pink salt flats, and snorkel in the blue waters. Formetera is a delight to visit with its beauty and tranquillity.

Listed here are a selection of crewed yachts available to charter in the Balearics. Take a look and see if any call out to you. Please remember that these are just a selection of boats that are available and we have many more.
